Speak Up - Be Heard

Bespoke
'Freedom to Speak up' (FTSU) services

We pride ourselves in providing bespoke 'Freedom to Speak up' (FTSU) services.
Driven by the best outcomes for patients and users of health services we are here to help you adhere to the principles of 'speaking up' first introduced by Sir Robert Francis in 2015. See Exec summary via link below.
Since that time NHS services have been embedding their FTSU systems and policies. There has been variable progress and it is clear that there is significant room to further embrace the principles. The unique challenges seen particularly in small organisations, such as primary care, those providing contracted services for the NHS, charitable organisations, hospices and nursing homes are those we support.

There is more to 'FTSU' than Whistleblowing

It's about creating a culture where:• Everyone, regardless of their role feels able to speak up to prevent potential harm
• Staff feel empowered to make suggestions as an opportunity for improvement
• Learning from complaints and when things haven’t gone as planned is normal practice

We are able to provide bespoke packages,
these might include:

• Provision of FTSU guardian services
• A review of your FTSU policy, with recommendations for improvement
• Face to face / on-line discussion & learning packages
• Board / Senior leadership (SLT) seminars
• Independent FTSU investigations
